Ultrasonic testing is a non-destructive testing method that uses high frequency sound waves to conduct examinations and measurements on the test area. The testing system usually consists of an ultrasonic transducer, pulser/receiver and display unit. Ultrasonic NDT uses a probe and is able to detect surface flaws such as cracks, and internal flaws such as voids or inclusion of foreign materials.
