A piezo inkjet printer contains piezoelectric crystals in the printhead. When an electric current is applied, this deforms the crystals, spitting drops of ink onto the substrate. When the electric current is removed, the crystal returns to its original shape, drawing up ink into the printer head.
Piezoelectric technology is often found in large character drop-on demand inkjet printers. Our single printhead system can support up to 54.1mm in print height and it can be combined with more printheads to achieve larger print height.
