Flow sensor
The Siemens SITRANS F M MAG 5100 W Electromagnetic Flow Sensor is designed to meet water applications including ground water, drinking water, waste water, sewage or sludge, and when combined with the SITRANS F M MAG 6000 microprocessor-based transmitter you have a complete flow meter with a measuring accuracy of ± 0.2% of the flow rate.

The flow measuring principle is based on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction were the sensor converts the flow into an electrical voltage proportional to the velocity of the flow.

All SITRANS F M electromagnetic flow meters feature a unique SENSORPROM® memory unit which stores sensor calibration data and transmitter settings for the lifetime of the product.

Universal Signal Module with ‘Plug & Play’ simplicity makes it easy to access and integrate the flow measurement with almost any system, including HART, DeviceNet, PROFIBUS DP and PA, FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 and MODBUS RTU/RS485. The flow meter will be easy to upgrade to new communication platforms in the future.
